报告人简介:孙佳琦,本科就读于中央民族大学,生物学专业,2009年获得学士学位。之后被保送进入清华大学bevictor伟德官网,攻读博士学位,导师为Hongjun Song,从事成体神经发生调控的研究,重点探索海马成体神经干细胞的活性依赖调控机制,在Cell Stem Cell、Nature Neuroscience等学术期刊上发表论文。
报告摘要:The adult mammalian brain continuously generates new neurons in the olfactory bulb and hippocampus throughout life. Adult neurogenesis, a highly dynamic process, has been shown to be exquisitely modulated by neuronal activity at different stages, from activation of quiescent neural stem cells to the integration and survival of newborn neurons in the adult brain. The specific molecular and cellular mechanisms through which activity regulates different stages of adult neurogenesis, however, remain largely unknown. Here, we investigate how diffusible factors from neurons and neurotransmitters, two major types of molecular mediators for activity-dependent adult neurogenesis, regulate different stages of neurogenesis in the adult hippocampus. Our studies provide future insights into understanding the functional contributions of newborn neurons.
